Where there is any conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service regarding privacy matters, this Privacy Policy shall prevail.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. We will notify you of any material changes through our platform or via email to the address associated with your account.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you register for an account, create a profile, or use our services, you provide us with information directly. For Clients, this typically includes company name and business information, contact details including name, email address, phone number, and business address, industry and market information, sales requirements and project specifications, payment information for processing transactions, and any additional information you choose to share in your profile or communications.
For Sales Pros, the information collected includes personal identification information such as full name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, professional background including work history, education, certifications, and skills, performance data such as sales metrics, achievements, and track record information you choose to share, identification documents as needed for verification purposes, tax information necessary for payment processing and compliance, and portfolio materials including samples of work, references, and testimonials.
We also collect information you provide when you communicate with us through our platform messaging system, customer support inquiries, feedback and survey responses, participation in community forums or events, and any other interactions where you voluntarily provide information.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access our website or use our platform, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information. This includes device information such as your device type, operating system, browser type and version, device identifiers, and screen resolution. We collect log data including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, access times, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you visited before navigating to our site.
We track usage patterns including features you use, actions you take within the platform, time spent on various pages, and your navigation patterns. Location data is collected in the form of general geographic location based on your IP address, and precise location if you grant us permission through your device settings. We also collect performance data such as page load times, error logs, and other diagnostic data that helps us maintain and improve our services.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party sources and combine it with information we collect directly. These sources include identity verification services that help us confirm user identities, background check providers for Sales Pro verification with your consent, payment processors that share transaction and verification data, social media platforms if you choose to link your accounts or sign in using social credentials, and business information providers that supply company data for Clients.
We also receive information from our existing users when they refer you to our platform, from publicly available sources such as professional networking sites and business directories, and from marketing partners who may share information about potential users who have expressed interest in services like ours.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Providing and Improving Our Services
We use your information to operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of our platform. This includes creating and managing your account, facilitating matches between Clients and Sales Pros based on requirements and qualifications, enabling communication between matched parties, processing transactions and managing payments through our escrow system, and providing customer support and responding to your inquiries.
We analyze how users interact with our platform to identify areas for improvement and develop new features. This includes understanding which features are most valuable to users, identifying friction points in the user experience, testing new features and improvements, and making data-driven decisions about product development.
3.2 Personalization and Recommendations
We use your information to personalize your experience on our platform. For Clients, this means recommending Sales Pros whose skills and experience align with your stated requirements, providing relevant content and resources based on your industry and interests, and customizing your dashboard to show the most relevant information. For Sales Pros, personalization includes matching you with opportunities that fit your expertise and preferences, suggesting profile improvements that may increase your visibility, and providing insights into market trends relevant to your specializations.
3.3 Communication
We use your contact information to communicate with you about your account and our services. This includes sending you service-related notifications such as account verification, password resets, and important updates about your engagements. We send transaction confirmations and payment notifications, customer support responses, and marketing communications if you have opted in to receive them. We also provide updates about new features, policy changes, and other important information affecting your use of our services.
3.4 Safety and Security
Protecting our users and platform is a priority. We use your information to verify user identities and prevent fraudulent accounts, detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and other harmful activities, enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines, investigate potential violations and respond to legal requests, and protect the rights, property, and safety of LeadNod, our users, and the public.
3.5 Legal Compliance and Business Operations
We may use your information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, respond to lawful requests from government authorities, establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, and support our legitimate business operations including auditing, analysis, and reporting.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 Sharing With Other Users
The core function of our platform involves connecting Clients with Sales Pros, which necessarily involves sharing certain information between parties. When you are matched with another user, we share profile information relevant to the potential engagement, contact information necessary to facilitate communication, and performance metrics and reviews that help parties evaluate fit. You have control over what information is included in your public profile and can choose what additional information to share during conversations and engagements.
4.2 Service Providers
We engage third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf. These service providers have access to your personal information only as needed to perform their specific functions and are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed. Categories of service providers include cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors and financial service providers, identity verification and background check services, email and communication service providers, analytics and performance monitoring services, and customer support tools and platforms.
4.3 Legal Requirements and Protection
We may disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process such as court orders or subpoenas, protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of LeadNod, our users, or others, prevent potentially illegal activities or enforce our Terms of Service, respond to claims that content violates the rights of third parties, or protect against legal liability.
4.4 Business Transfers
If LeadNod is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of company assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. Any successor entity would be bound to honor the commitments we have made in this Privacy Policy, or will provide you with notice and an opportunity to opt out of the transfer of your personal information.
4.5 Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may share aggregated or anonymized information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This includes aggregate statistics about platform usage, market trends and industry benchmarks, and anonymized data for research and analysis. This type of sharing helps us and our partners understand market dynamics and improve services without compromising individual privacy.
5. Data Security and Protection
We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security program includes technical, administrative, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we collect and process.
5.1 Technical Safeguards
Our technical security measures include encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols, encryption of sensitive data at rest using industry-standard encryption algorithms, secure authentication mechanisms including support for two-factor authentication, regular security assessments and penetration testing, intrusion detection and prevention systems, automated monitoring for suspicious activities, and regular security patches and updates to our systems.
5.2 Administrative Safeguards
We maintain administrative controls including strict access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, regular security awareness training for all employees, comprehensive security policies and procedures, incident response plans for potential security breaches, background checks for employees with access to sensitive information, and vendor security assessments for third-party service providers.
5.3 Physical Safeguards
Physical security measures include hosting our infrastructure in secure data centers with restricted access, environmental controls and redundancy to prevent data loss, secure disposal procedures for hardware and documents containing personal information, and access controls for any physical facilities where data may be processed.
5.4 Your Role in Security
While we work hard to protect your information, security is a shared responsibility. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your LeadNod account, enable two-factor authentication when available, keep your account credentials confidential and do not share them, log out of your account when using shared or public devices, notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, and keep your contact information up to date so we can reach you about security matters.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The specific retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the purposes for which it is used.
Account information is retained for the duration of your active account plus a reasonable period afterward to allow for account reactivation or address any outstanding matters. Transaction records are retained for seven years as required by financial regulations and tax laws. Communication records are retained for the duration of the relevant engagement plus three years for dispute resolution purposes.
Performance data and reviews are retained as long as they remain relevant and useful for the platform, though users can request removal in certain circumstances. Technical logs are typically retained for 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes, though security-related logs may be retained longer.
When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. In some cases, we may retain anonymized versions of data for analytical purposes even after the original personal information has been deleted.

We respect your rights regarding your personal information and provide you with meaningful choices about how your data is used. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights:
